Route 66 Audio Production

     David Sickles is a professional Location Sound Mixer with over a decade of experience in the film and television industry. Based in New Mexico and  Los Angeles, David is a proud member of IATSE Local 480 and Local 695. He has worked on productions of every size, from feature films to episodic television, collaborating with crews across the country.

   With a working knowledge of industry-standard systems including Sound Devices, Zaxcom, and Cantar, David brings technical precision and creative problem-solving to every production. His approach is defined by professionalism, reliability, and a deep respect for the storytelling process.

   David began his journey in sound from the ground up—starting as a utility and boom operator before earning his place as a main unit mixer. Over the past 15 years, he has contributed to projects such as Duster, Outer Range, News of the World, and Copshop, among many others. He prides himself on being approachable and adaptable, equally enthusiastic about projects both big and small.

   David is a United States Marine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Cinematic Arts from the University of New Mexico (2013). When not on set, he continues to refine his craft and explore new technologies that elevate production sound.
